Senior Materials Planner
Exclusive are privileged to be representing a growing North East company in their search to appoint a Senior Materials Planner to join their team on a permanent basis.
Having experienced significant growth in recent years, this international manufacturing business is now keen to continue driving forward with its growth plans with the appointment of an experienced Materials Planner to join their established supply chain team.
This is a fast-paced role within an agile team which will see you responsible for managing the material planning team to ensure that materials are provided to the manufacturing teams in a timely fashion and are able to meet the demands of production.
Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for all inbound materials from a range of international suppliers. Experience of negotiating with key suppliers to improve material flow systems is integral to this role. You will ensure that any changes remain in-line with the strategic plan of the company and supply chain department.
You will be involved in providing statistical information and reports to senior management, identifying any trends and being able to analyse management information accurately and use this to further develop and strengthen the department’s strategy.
As Senior Materials Planner you will be a strong leader, able to offer advice and guidance across the wider aspects of the department. Responsible for managing a team of Material Planners, you will understand the need and importance of personal development for those individuals and contribute where appropriate and necessary.
Commercially astute and with a strong background within continuous manufacturing, you will demonstrate best practice in every aspect of your work and understand the financial impacts of the supply chain on the continued growth of the business.
